Arlington Housing Market: Homes Selling Quickly
Here is how the real estate market is performing for Arlington area ZIP codes.

ARLINGTON, TX — The housing market cooled off slightly in the fall, but some experts predict that it will heat up again as winter approaches.
The national median sale price for homes sold in October was $378,700, which was up 0.9 percent from September, according to Redfin, a national real estate brokerage. The median sale price of homes grew at a slower rate than earlier in the year.
Seasonally adjusted home sales and new listings both fell in October compared with October 2020. However, pending sales rose 3 percent from September, which could be a sign that demand is picking up once again.
“Although October brought fairly typical seasonal cooling to the housing market, the latest home buying demand data suggests that the market is heating back up this month,” Redfin Chief Economist Daryl Fairweather said in a news release. “Homebuyers who were waiting until fall or winter to try to find a home in a less competitive market may be disappointed.” The supply of homes for sale remains historically low, and it likely won’t improve much until the second half of 2022, Fairweather said.
